McPherson Plumbing recognises that its main asset is its people and places a high value on developing and retaining our personnel.
We actively promote relevant advanced training for our staff and consequently have numerous personnel who have achieved qualifications in areas such as safety, quality, working in confined spaces, plant operation, traffic control, etc.
We have built a team of dedicated, loyal and extremely competent employees, many of whom joined our company as apprentices and have helped develop and uphold our company’s core values.
We directly employ and train our apprentices.
The company is party to a Union Enterprise Agreement negotiated between the Plumbing Union and our employees that will cover wages and conditions through to October 2015 and provide continued stability and predictability for our employees.
This agreement has been certified as Code Compliant by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, and as such, we are eligible to work on all federally funded projects.
From head office our staff perform administration, financial control, estimating, procurement overview, systems initiation/compliance and in house design development functions. Key Executive Personnel

Major projects are managed by a Senior Project Manager who is often based at the project site office.
A site based Project Manager manages the project with appropriate foreman and leading hand support provided as required.
In conjunction with our readily available head office resources this provides an accessible and professional Senior Management Team with the sole aim of meeting all of our customer requirements and producing quality outcomes on every project.
Our Project Management Team have a wealth of experience in major construction with all of our Project Managers having been responsible for managing at least five major projects and having a minimum of 20 years’ experience in the industry.
The majority of our systems are data based and we have developed an integrated company specific software system capable of linking our procurement, payroll processing, tender development, claims/variations management, invoice processing, and financial management functions.
In addition, our site offices are equipped with PC’s that not only enable access to web based document systems but also to the full range of company documentation including policies, procedures, safety documentation, quality programmes and environmental management systems.
